Nonprofit of the Month: Fieldhouse Foundation

Making playtime fun and active for every child.
The Hastings Mutual Insurance Company Charitable Foundation recognizes the contributions of nonprofit organizations in the communities we serve. Each month, we’ll honor one of those organizations as our Nonprofit of the Month.
You may remember “Field Of Dreams” as a 1989 baseball movie, but for the teens and kids at the Fieldhouse Foundation in Zanesville, Ohio, the fields are more than something on screen. Built in 2010, the Foundation added two areas for soccer, baseball, and football to the Fieldhouse complex.
The Fieldhouse itself is a fitness center, a place for men, women, and children to exercise and play games. The Foundation helps those with physical, emotional, and psychological needs enjoy themselves, too. It supports children and young adults ages 3 to 21 who have special needs because of accidents, illnesses, or injuries, such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, or amputation. It reaches to Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan Counties in Ohio.
The Fieldhouse Foundation uses its financial support to expand and improve its pool and track, along with the specialized bicycles for young athletes and kids simply having fun.
The Fieldhouse Foundation is supported by Hastings Mutual and Williamson Insurance Service.
